ABOUT
I am a born and bred Londoner who has been fortunate enough to work for some of the world’s most respected and creative hospitality brands over the past 25 years. I established Big T. Projects to bring my experience and passion to both start-up and seasoned hospitality and related businesses, offering consultancy and project management support.
There is nothing I enjoy more than working with founders and their teams to turn a vision into reality. As Development Director and then Group Projects Director of Soho House Group, I worked directly with CEO Nick Jones for 12 years through a period of rapid global expansion. I was heavily involved in the creation of Soho Farmhouse and the Soho Works co-working brand, along with many other new concepts.
As Business Operations Director of the Michelin starred River Café restaurant, I established the operating structure of their retail business, and delivered their first new concept and site in 37 years: The River Café Café.
I specialise in conceptual development and implementation, site master planning and development, and set piece/special projects management.
Typically, I assume the role of an in-house Development or Project Director for my clients –working on site or remotely – and throughout any project I tie together commercial, design and operational functions, supporting key stakeholders and working across teams to deliver.

Client support sometimes also takes the form of a workshop for those seeking to better understand the development process and how to apply it to their projects, and ad hoc consultancy sessions for those wanting to explore a certain idea or challenge.
I have extensive experience of working on large, mixed-use projects – from farmyards and listed buildings to new-builds and offices – that incorporate any combination of F&B, rooms, members’ club, spa, co-working and other sub-brands. I thrive on strategic thinking, problem solving and making things happen.
Consultancy development and hospitality projects to date include a concept development and site master planning project for White Rabbit Hospitality, an ongoing client advisory role for Borde Hill Estate as they embark on a phased hospitality development plan, and site-wide support to the Soho House COO with a focus on consistency and standards across the group. Creative consultancy projects have included the art direction and production of the 2022 Soho House book ‘City Country Coast’, strategic support for Wildfarmed during their brand creation, and luxury brand concept development for Penguin Random House.

“Tanya has a meticulous eye for the detail. Her expertise and counsel have proved invaluable to me, and she brings that fairy dust which takes a project from good to exceptional, all with an ease and professionalism to be revered.”
“Tanya played a big part in the growth of Soho House over the years. She balances incredible attention to detail with an understanding of the bigger picture, and works with ease across different areas of the business to deliver any project. I admire Tanya’s passion and drive, and value her opinion greatly. She remains very much part of the Soho House family, and would be an asset to anyone she works with.”
“When The River Cafe decided to expand beyond the restaurant, we knew Tanya was the person to help us make it happen. Having first worked with us over 20 years ago, we were confident she would bring a unique combination of sensitivity to the brand, impressive project management skills, enthusiasm and energy. She did all this and more.”
“Tanya has always been a trusted sounding board, whatever I’m working on. The combination of her practical thinking, holistic view of the business operation, and friendly approach meant that she was really able to jump in and support us at Wildfarmed with our early stage strategy.”
